Beant Singh comes with a multifaceted skill set with an outlook to help and solve problems. His saying is "I wear many hats, but one turban" meaning that he is himself in all walks of life. He is currently managing the Lottery Heritage funded project called Every Journey Matters, working with 8 schools across Handsworth and the local community.
Through his vision he has brought a digital outlook to this project which has enhanced its resources and is something which will better serve teachers. Beant enjoys every element of nature, spending time with loved ones, serving the local community, Kirtan, Indian classical music, collecting Indian instruments and playing table tennis.
Previously Beant has worked in the Education sector, retail and has lots of experience in building renovation and conservation. He is also the founder of an organisation called Vardan.uk and has been conducting oral histories since 2012. He has recently taken a keen interest in regenerative building methods and ecological ways of building using materials closer to nature.
