We Carry the Light was a nine month project which brought together women to stitch personal stories of heritage, family and life, shining a spotlight on the knowledge and light that women carry and pass on to others. This was a response to the lack of representation of women in published Lunar Society history.

We are excited to share the incredible news that Legacy West Midlands has been honoured with the esteemed King's Voluntary Award. This recognition highlights our dedication to making a positive impact on our community through volunteer efforts.

Legacy WM are thrilled to witness one of our staff members Marcia (who is also cofounder of Black Heritage Walks Network) to be featured on ITV News Central. 

We are delighted to announce that our chair Jesse Gerald won the Excellence in Media of the Year Award at the Black Owned Birmingham Awards 2023. A huge thank you to everyone who voted to make this possible.
