A major new public artwork celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Malcolm X visit to Smethwick, West Midlands is to be unveiled at the Ivy Bush Bar & Grill Wednesday 12th February 2025. The art work commissioned by Legacy West Midlands, as part of the MX60 Collective and funded by the Arts Council.

Legacy WM are thrilled to witness one of our staff members Marcia (who is also cofounder of Black Heritage Walks Network) to be featured on ITV News Central. 

It's officially Black History Month!

This years theme is celebrating our Sisters / Saluting our Sisters / Matriarchs of Movements #WEMATTER during Black History Month 2023. Recognising and applauding the invaluable contributions of black women to British society, inspiring future generations, and empowering them.

What a fabulous evening to celebrate and commemorate the memory of Marcus Garvey.

The SAHGB is thrilled to announce Dawn Carr as the inaugural recipient of the Society’s Masters’ Bursary scheme. Dawn will use the £20,000 bursary to attend the Masters in Conservation of the Historic Environment course at Birmingham City University.
